The First Conquest

Final RenderBase Render
This illustration represents several things in my life, not only as an artist, but also as a person. It also serves as a bridge between the end of my student period and the beginning of my professional career. This illustration is the first piece of artwork that made me feel satisfied with the results, and it’s inspired by my childhood memories. My grandfather Eduardo used to take me to some kind of barn outside Calama and encouraged me to grab cows from their horns and control their heads. That mental image comes to my head even today. So, I think it just felt natural to depict that memory into an illustration that would also be portrayed within one of my favorite genres, fantasy. My friend and colleague artist Daniel Pantaleon helped me naming the character “Konasis”.
