Once I finished my male anatomy study, I wanted to give the guy a dynamic pose. So, I started thinking about how I could achieve a cool looking pose, and I thought that I could have some kind of superhero flying so I wouldn’t have to deal with weight, which can be tricky when posing a character. But something didn’t feel right, that’s when I came up with the idea of having the guy swimming. And I thought that would be interesting having the diver being helped by a dolphin and make the image more sci fi. Thanks to this illustration I was contacted by a Diving Magazine from Singapore that asked me to freelance some illustrations for an article the magazine was writing regarding diving and its pros and cons.
