Since science fiction has been a recurrent motive in my artwork, I’ve been working on creating my own worlds to tell my own stories. So, I must populate those worlds with not only characters. Creatures are as important as the rest of the environment, and I like to have those creatures look like they’ve been there since the beginning and not being mutations. For me those creatures are part of the ecosystem, so the “Protector” represents an alien creature (Tuan Twi), which inhabits this planet where the development of alien societies has been disturbing its space in the chain.
